Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
SEO is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine’s search results. The higher and more frequently it appears in the search results, the more visitors your website will receive.
SEO is much more effective if it is built in. It is a lot harder to simply ‘bolt on’. It can be done of course, but much better to design with SEO in mind, rather than add it on at a later stage.
One of our great strengths is that we have run several different businesses which relied on good search engine ranking. We would have literally starved if our SEO was not good. Our staff and of course our clients relied on this. Because of this pressure, we have a fair idea of what it takes to be found. We know what it takes to make a website with good SEO built in.
It’s not easy. It begins with your keyword research and content strategy. With these two pieces in place we can start designing your website. Seriously, to add keywords and content on the last minute is really not advisable.
We never do any ‘black hat’ SEO. All that cloak and dagger stuff will always stab you in the back. We always try to do it the right way. It is harder, but the results are more permanent. They also don’t risk you getting penalised by Google. The website needs to be coded correctly. Web standards are your friend. We have had great success by not cutting corners, by doing things ‘properly’. Tricks don’t cut the mustard. They might give you a few wins at first but long term they can prove detrimental to your website.
Our experience in SEO is one of our great strengths as a web design company. We know many designers don’t look at this aspect. It is simply not their job. We try and take a more holistic approach. We want you to be found. Our business depends on it.
