Zante, the beautiful, idyllic island in the Ionian sea. Famous as a prime nesting area for turtles, crystal clear warm waters and stunning beaches. Our brief was to create a WordPress fuelled website, which would compliment the “Flower of the East”. Easy huh?

We created a custom theme using the Genesis Framework to create the website. We created custom post types with lots of custom fields, and took advantage of the built in categories and taxonomies to make it easy to add new apartments, hotels and villas. We also created a special home page with large images using a parallax effect to try and highlight just how beautiful the island is.
A lot of thought was put into creating filters to find accommodation by different types, such as apartments, hotels or villas and also allow visitors to filter by facility: i.e. “Near Beach, Air Conditioned, Spa” etc.
